DR. OMANE BOAMAH ASSURED GOVERNMENT WILL NOT SABOTAGE ANY INVESTOR, AS HE LAUNCHES RLG UHURU

The Minister for Communication, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has assured the private local industries and business investors in the country that government will not sabotage their efforts but rather give them the maximum support to expand and to create employment opportunity for the youth in the country.
He said since the private sector was one major area that would accelerate the attainment of the desired national development goals, the government would welcome investments in that sector.
Dr Boamah said this when he join the Chief Executive Officer of Rlg Communications Limited Mr. Roland Agambire to launched the company latest innovative device called UHURU in Accra.
The Communication Minister who graced the occasion as his first national assignment after he was sworn in as a minister also invited investors to join hands with the government under public-private partnerships to provide skill s training development for the youth in the country.
He further assured the RLG  and other local industries of  government protection to create  more jobs and urged the company to come out with more innovative products that will not only benefits its consumers, but also projects the country image at the international community.
According to him, “One of the major challenges that continue to affect the  private sector industry  is the  perceived political  witch hunting  and interference  which the NDC government do not subscribed to, we will do everything as government to support you and any other private  local  company   to help reduce the teeming unemployment in the country.”
“If we are all advocating better Ghana that will promote development, then it must be noted that the government needs the support of the private sector, we cannot do it alone as a government, therefore the private sector must be supported.” the minister stated.
 Dr. Omane Boamah appealed to Ghanaians, especially co-operate organization not to go for any product either than the Uhuru laptop/tablet, saying Ghana as a country is moving forward to raps shoulders with the world leading Information and communication Technology (ICT) industries.
 He said one major target of the ministry was to ensure that Ghana became a major ICT hub in the West African sub-region, adding, “This will attract more investors into the country.”
The Chief Executive Officer of Rlg, Mr. Roland Agambire, said   the  new devices  was made  out of the  company long dream to make  ICT  easy for every individual and households to  have access to information on the world through the internet at their door steps.
“The reason why we came out with this innovative product is to give freedom to our youth, business men and women, co-operate organization to have access to the world at their own convenient time,” he said.
Mr. Agambire noted that  with few years into its operation in the market the company knows the demands of its consumers and will always introduce products that will best serve their interest.
“ This product has been brought on through our partnership with the Microsoft; its quality matches all the global brands that we have in the market. For us, it is the best and the market leader,” he stated.

The Rlg CEO indicated that the company is going global because plans are far advance to re-launch Uhuru in South Africa, Dubai, Nigeria, Kenya and the Gambia.
He urged Ghanaians to proudly embrace the product as their own to make it the leading brand in the world.
The device is a combination of a laptop and a tablet that can be detached from the key board and used on its own.

With the latest Windows 8 from Microsoft embedded in it, Uhuru is also touch screen and uses a Core i5 processor.

The company believes its latest brand is premier in the range of laptops worldwide and will be the market leader on the Ghanaian market.

Uhuru, is a Kenyan word which means “freedom” and  the company said  the devices  is to relieve people of the stress of having to carry a laptop and a tablet at the same time.
