NPP ALLEGATION OF IVORIAN REBEL ATADENTAN, ASHIE-MOORE PUNCHES JAKE

By Felix Engsalige Nyaaba
Mr.  Emmanuel Nii Ashie-Moore, the elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Adentan Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has denied the claims by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is keeping Ivorian Rebels in a certain house in Adentan to foment trouble in the country and blame it on Nana Akuffo Addo, the defeated presidential candidate in the 2012 general elections.
According to Mr. Ashie-Moore, the NDC has no intention of fomenting trouble in the country non to hire rebel from other countries to disturb the peace the people of Ghana are currently enjoying.
He said the allegation is completely false and must be taken with a pinch of salt.
In an interview with The Enquirer, last Friday the newly elected MP said such statement could not be made by any other person than a person who has a neurosis break-down for having suffered from a political defeat in the just ended general elections.
“I think such claims by the NPP are just one of their false claims before and after this general election, it was the same NPP who made all sort of allegation that the NDC was keeping thugs in the country to foment trouble during the elections, but has since failed to prove their allegations,” Ashie-Moore contended.
He stated that Ghana has enjoyed peace for the past years and will continue to enjoy the peace under the NDC and that no one should take the NPP claims serious,  “for they are just seeking ways and means to console themselves after the heavy defeat they suffered in the general elections.”
Mr. Ashie-Mooore further stated that he has confidence in the police command in the Constituency and the national security to handle the NPP allegation, adding that the security are closely watching the NPP and their defeated presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo who has since before the elections made statements to suggest that he intent fomenting  trouble in Ghana.
He urged all residents in the area not to take the NP statement seriously, but go about their work freely without fear, saying the NPP will forever remain in opposition for their diabolical intention for the country.
The MP elect also called on the NDC supporters to continue to celebrate the victory, but cautioned that they must do so with restrain and modesty as their opponent will find ways to provoke them.
The NPP claimed that it had uncovered a plot by the ruling National Democratic Congress to cause disaffection for the NPP and its leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
A statement signed by its National Chairman, Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, said the NDC intended to camp Ivorian Nationals at a house in Adentan, stage managed a police raid of the building and arrest the Ivorians who would then implicate Nana Akufo-Addo as the one who brought them to foment trouble in Ghana.
