NEW NLA BOSS TAKES OVER OFFICE, CALLS FOR SUPPORT TO DELIVER

The Acting Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) Brigadier - General Martin Ahiaglo has officially assumed office and promised a dedicated work to rejuvenate and consolidate the financial success story of the Authority as one of the biggest revenue mobilization agency for government
In a press statement issued and copied to The Enquirer, the new Director General took over office on May 3, and has since held a meeting with the Board members and staff of the Authority to have first time information of their conditions.
The statement further indicated that  during the  meeting, Brigadier Ahiaglo urged the working staff to continue to work hard and not to  give up  their responsibilities in order to ensure that the Authority retain its cherish glory as the biggest revenue mobilization institution in the country.
According to the statement, the new Director General also called on member of staff to desist from act and activities that would lead the authority to loss its revenue to the government.
The statement noted that the Director-General wants the NLA to play a role in difficult global situations such as economic crisis and on the national agendas of mobilizing revenue to meet the developmental needs of the country.
Brigadier - General Martin Ahiaglo was appointed the acting Director General of the National Lotto Authority when Mr. Kojo Andah, the then Director was asked to proceed on leave following a financial scandal that rocked the authority.
“He would be acting as the Director General of the Lotto until he is approved or new appointment is made by the president,” the statement added.
